"Proud To Be An American!"

Sadie did her first school program last week. She was so excited. She got to sing a song about the liberty bell. Since I didn't catch it on video during the program she did it for me at home. It is so cute! She is becoming a great singer and she loved to perform with her classmates!

These are the pictures from the night of her program.

My Nephew Got Baptised!

My nephew Joshua Jackson got baptised a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on March 1st, 2008. Brian, the Kids and I made him a video but for the life of me I can not get it to post on this website. I think the file is too big, so Sadie made a little video to say CONGRATULATIONS!

Josh, we are so proud of you. We wish we could have been there. I am sure it was great. You will have to tell us all about it and send us some pictures. We think it is awesome that you chose to become a member of the Church. If you live by the teachings of the gospel you will have a happy life. You are a great person and when you smile so does everyone around you. You are a good big brother and you are a good son to you mom and dad. We love you and can't wait to here all about your special DAY!

My Day

Well, these little videos are not the funniest but they show Brannon's personality and I am writing this mainly for Grandma and Grandpa Jackson who are not here to see how fast Brannon is changing. On Wednesday I was trying so hard to get things done and Brannon was demanding attention, so I decided to just video tape him so that I could laugh about it one day. Well as you can guess he didn't perform when I got the camera out. He did tell me how old he was, we have been working on that. But take notice of outfit#1 that day. Please don't mind my huge pile of laundry.

After I taped him we played for a little bit and then he wanted to go outside with Duke. So out we went. Duke and him where being so cute, I again got my camera out and of course they refused to perform but I did get Brannon's latest "thing to do" which is to make himself dizzy.

Also note outfit #2. He ate lunch. Then after I changed him he wanted his shorts on so instead of arguing I just put them on too:)

I also took a pictue of him in these play glasses. He loved them. I say loved because he put them down outside, I didn't notice it and Duke ate them. HA! the story of my life:) LOL

Then he was tired for 30 seconds. Notice his feet are wet. He thinks Dukes bowl is a baby pool.

Then he made my favorite face

Well I didn't want a great day to end without a bang so for dinner I served his favorite!

Well, now you know what I do all day.

love you all

Our NEW orange tree!

Yesterday we bought an orange tree. It will be serveral years before it gives us any oranges and we probably won't live here when that happens but oh, well:) Here is a picture of our backyard. We have redone a lot on it. It used to have rocks that bordered the the yard all the way around and we took out most of it and put in grass and in the corner an orange tree, some flowers and a retaining wall. We are happy with it. Maybe one day a playgound will be there too.

This is what our backyard looks like now.

The other big thing ;)(lol) that happened is that duke turned ONE! Yeah! I wish I could say that he is behaving better but no, not yet. He has a lot of energy. He is still great with the kids but just not with my flowers, trees, and grass! So needless to say I took this picture of our tree before we put up a barrier so the dog wouldn't get it.

Our beloved Prophet

My heart sunk yesterday as I learned that our prophet Gordon B. Hinckley passed away at 97 years of age. He was a man I greatly admired, loved and trusted. He stood for truth and righteousness. He loved the Lord and he loved The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I will continue to learn from his example and share with my children his teachings of the Savior. I will miss his sweet and powerful presence but I am happy that he has returned home to our Father in Heaven. What a marvelous man. I truly thank God for this Prophet!

I love the AZ Weather

Today it's 70 and sunny here in Gilbert, and i love it!!! Brannon and I went to the park today and had a blast. His favorite it the car that rocks back and forth, oh, and throwing sand. He is sure fun. He loves to smile and laugh. Sadie started piano and I think that she will really like it. She is doing well in school and is so good to her little brother. Duke, well, Duke is still a puppy. He sure is cute and he loves to walk with me every morning. we are getting ready for Brian's next semester that starts on Monday. He is excited to take a french class this semester and brush up on his "skills" as he puts it. He is loving working at the Law Firm and they are giving him more responsibility all the time. Life is good! We sure feel blessed to have the gospel, family and friends.

The ZOO!

Yesterday was our first adventure out side of Gilbert since we moved here. I went to the zoo with the kids and my friends Tara, Lindy and there kids. We all had so much fun. We saw lots of animals, went to the petting zoo and before we went home we had to play in the splash park! This was Sadie and Brannon's favorite part. But they enjoyed everything. Sadie found a tractor like her Grandma Kaye had when she was little so she had me take a picture of her on it. Brannon was so funny at the splash zone he would lean over the holes where the water would shoot out, then when it hit him in the face he would laugh and laugh. I have to admit I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids. It's fall break this week so I am sure I will have more adventures to share as the week goes on!

We are really enjoying the weather here now. It is 90 and beautiful, not to hot and cool in the evenings. So come visit us!

My first time Blogging!!!!!

Well, This is my first time Blogging! I am kind of excited! But I don't know what to say so I will just tell a funny story! We just moved here in June and there are a lot of streets that
are spanish names. We were driving last night and Brian and I were talking about how to get home and I told him to take Guadalupa. Sadie leans up between our front seats and says "Mom how come I don't get to use GuadaluPASTE? Is it only for mommy and daddy's teeth?" We thought that was so funny! She is getting so big so fast. She is doing great in School and is making many new friends. Brannon is busy as ever and his new favorite thing to do is brush Sadie's hair! He always makes us laugh!
Okay that's it for my first Blog! BYE
